ABOUT

I grew up in Green Bay, WI, where I showed Quarter Horses and worked at the barn teaching lessons, working horses, and mucking stalls. I then went to Colorado State University for my undergrad, and graduated with degrees in Equine Science and Biomedical Sciences in 2015.

I worked in the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital in equine surgery as a daytime and on call student technician, and in radiology, as a receptionist along with being a daytime and on call student technician.

I attended vet school at CSU, tracking large animal, and graduated in 2019. After vet school, I have completed two equine rotating internships as Mississippi State University and at University of Missouri (although both were interrupted by injury or illness), two large animal surgical specialty internships at Tufts and at Oklahoma State University, and most recently completed an Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation fellowship at University of Tennessee Knoxville.

I’m thrilled to be here for the next 3 years! I have special interests in pain management, fractures, and wounds, but I enjoy blocked goats, colics, and the acute stabilization of neonates as well. I also enjoy teaching clients and students as much as they will let me! In my free time I enjoy hiking, skiing, sports, volunteering as a crisis counselor and as a victim’s advocate, and spending time with my Dachshund, “Gus.”
